Betty White’s 90th Birthday Celebration!
The stars were out last Sunday night for Betty White’s 90th Birthday Party hosted by NBC. Celebs and honored guests alike celebrated with Betty at the beautiful Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown LA. Celebrities from Mary Tyler Moore to Amy Poehler were in attendance to pay tribute to comedy icon, Betty White. It was a gorgeous, televised event, only Hollywood could throw, and Kapture could make a reality.
Look & Feel: Hosted at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, the space was perfect for the event, with its beautiful gothic architecture and frescoed ceilings, it evoked a feeling of old Hollywood. And what better way to celebrate a Golden Girl than with a “golden” theme. The color palette, including lighting, was made up mostly of soft pinks and gold, making for a glamorous, yet classy birthday party.
Dinner Reception: Opting for a more modern dinner reception separate from the main ballroom, the guests mingled over small plates, interactive food stations and hors d’oeuvres. From risotto made to order, to salad “martinis”, everyone enjoyed the food as well as the social atmosphere, which was great for mingling, champagne in hand.
Dessert and Production: Dessert as well as the production filming, took place in the Biltmore’s gorgeous Crystal Ballroom. The night was full of laughter as comedic TV stars of all generations including, Carol Burnette, Chevy Chase, William Shatner, and Zachary Levi, paid tribute to Betty. Betty Crocker donated almost 300 small cakes for the event, one for each guest, as well as an amazing birthday cake for Ms. White herself. The table floral reflected the soft tones of the overall theme and was also integrated with the champagne buckets making for functional, yet beautiful centerpieces.
Green Room: Kapture also set up the green room for celebs and media. It was a quiet oasis set apart from all the excitement and activity in the main ballroom where the production was taking place.
Stationary: Along with coordinating guest registration, dinner, dessert, and the green room, Kapture provided all the stationary for the extravaganza, including the event invitations, place cards, guest access cards, table numbers, and dessert menus.
Overall, it was a stunning night of glitz, glamor and fun that everyone, including team Kapture and Betty White herself, are sure to never forget!
Betty’s birthday bash will air on Monday, January 16th on NBC at 8pm.
